Michigan Public Power Agency is a project-based agency. The 18 full members of MPPA select the projects in which they will participate and the level of their participation. Sixty five percent (65%) of MPPA’s members participate in four or more projects.
The Petoskey Department of Public Works serves about 5,300 electric customers and owns entitlements to portions of power-generating plants near Kalkaska, MI, West Olive, MI, Saint Claire, MI and Fremont, Ohio. The City owns two substations and approximately 65 miles of a complete distribution system.
